Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Welcome to my website. These Terms & Conditions outline the simple agreements between us when you explore this digital space or choose to work with me, Elizabeth Postgate.
By browsing this site or booking a session, you agree to these terms. My goal is to make sure we are both protected, aligned and ready to collaborate beautifully.
1. Our Working Relationship
When we work together, whether it is a Standalone Workshop, a Focused Intensive, or a 12-week Journey to Clarity & Control or a custom-made package of support, I act as a supportive ally and strategic right hand.
Collaborative Effort: I am here to muck in and support you, but the ultimate success of your business or project relies on your active participation and decision-making.
Independent Status & Autonomy: To protect both parties and ensure I am not classified or treated as an employee, I operate entirely as an independent contractor. I retain full control over how, when, and where my work is completed. This reflects our mutual intention that our working relationship falls outside the scope of IR35 and general UK employment status regulations.
Scheduling & Time: While we will mutually agree on specific deadlines and milestone dates for projects, I work to my own schedule and manage my own time. I do not align my working hours to a client’s regular daily or weekly staff schedule, nor do I provide fixed, ongoing daily coverage.
No Employment Liability: This arrangement is strictly a business-to-business partnership. It does not create any permanent employer liabilities, employment benefits, holiday pay, or pension obligations on your part.
2. Geography and In-Person Travel
To keep my practice sustainable, fair and grounded, my offer of in-person work is based on travel time from my base in Swindon:
Within 1 hour: Regular in-person support and hands-on sessions
Within 2 hours: Regular in-person meetings and occasional muck-in days
Within 4 hours: Initial kick-off meeting in person (so we can connect properly and map out our work face-to-face); ongoing sessions online
Rest of the UK: Initial meeting in person where possible, though we may need to discuss travel and accommodation costs depending on circumstances
Outside the UK: We will collaborate closely and creatively online
Please note that face-to-face meetings are entirely optional; we will always choose a blend of in-person and online collaboration that best suits your needs, location and pacing.
3. Payments, Bookings and Cancellations
Invoicing: For structured packages, payment terms and schedules will be clearly agreed upon up front in a separate, brief working agreement before any work begins.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: I understand that running a purpose-led organisation can be unpredictable and exhausting. If you need to reschedule a workshop or intensive session, please give me as much notice as possible (ideally 48 hours) so I can adjust my calendar and offer the slot to someone else.
4. Intellectual Property
My Materials: Any templates, frameworks or resources I share with you during our sessions are yours to use freely within your own organisation. Please do not share, sell or distribute them to outside businesses.
Your Vision & Proprietary Assets: You (or your organisation, regardless of its legal structure) retain absolute ownership of all pre-existing and newly developed Intellectual Property Rights, Confidential Information and proprietary operational concepts. This includes, but is not limited to, your unique community models, recipes, internal workflows, methodologies, strategic plans, funding or governance structures and operational data. Anything you share with me remains entirely yours and I claim no rights over your organisation's assets or innovations.
5. Confidentiality & Trust
Working with organisations with heart requires deep trust. Anything we discuss regarding your business struggles, finances, logistics or personal well-being during our sessions will be held in the absolute strictest confidence. I am here to create a safe space for you to offload.
6. Scope of Services & Limitation of Liability
While I bring practical expertise and dedicated operational support to our sessions, my services are strictly limited to mentorship, strategic facilitation and practical implementation assistance.
No Professional Advice: I do not provide regulated legal, financial, accounting or formal business advisory services. Any insights, frameworks, or discussions we share are intended solely for operational guidance and collaboration. You or your organisation's leadership retain ultimate responsibility for all final business decisions.
Outcome Disclaimer: Elizabeth Postgate provides no guarantees regarding specific financial returns, funding success or commercial benchmarks. Consequently, I cannot be held legally or financially liable for the long-term commercial, operational or financial outcomes of your organisation.
7. Changes to These Terms
Every now and then, I might update these terms to better reflect how my practice grows and adapts. The latest version will always be right here on this page.
